This Woman’s Travel Forum and Blog website is dedicated to all women who are willing to step out of their comfort zones, spread their wings, and open their hearts to new experiences.
The website is also dedicated to my family and friends whose presence in my life has remained the North Star that guides me safely back home after each journey. A special thank you to those who served as sounding boards, early readers, and general encouragement and support providers throughout the website building and book publishing
processes. I would like to acknowledge in particular my granddaughter Liljana for her artistic help with
the logo and my daughter Elizabeth for her ongoing and critical assistance in the review, assessment and
decision-making phases of both these processes.
The BLOG RoadRockingGrandmas is dedicated to my daughter-in-law Alicia, whose words many years ago helped me find peace with the idea of spending money on travel. I had said to her, “I feel I should be saving this money for my children’s inheritance, not spending it on myself.” Her response was, “Consider your travel as a legacy you will leave for your family and consider the expenses of travel as the cost of that legacy.” Her wise words have given me freedom to keep doing something I love: travel to other lands, learn about other cultures, and engage with people who enlarge my worldview.
The BLOG RoadRockingGrandmas is also dedicated to my daughter Elizabeth, who managed the home front during my absences and went the extra mile to provide help if I ran into a snag.
The TIME TRAVEL section of this website is dedicated to my husband who is no longer with us but whose country and culture captivated me and introduced to me Jelisaveta Kotromanic. I knew I needed to tell her story. Jelisaveta Kotromanic was a fiery Bosnian princess sent to Hungary in 1350 at age 11 to become queen of that country. Her story became the five-volume series titled Lady Nephele’s Devilry.
The TIME TRAVEL section of this website is also dedicated to all researchers, whose tireless sleuthing and generous online sharing make it possible for writers to bring to life books like Lady Nephele’s Devilry.
I would also like to acknowledge the assistance provided by Professor Floyd Jay Winters, who converted all five volumes of my book from Microsoft Word documents into eBook, paperback, and PDF formats and posted them on Amazon/Kindle and the roadrockinggrandmas.com website. Professor Winters also provided critical help for website
construction, especially in the areas of communication and e-commerce portals, plugins, maintaining a clean and attractive website presentation that is easily functional for the reader, and search engine optimization.
